Fantiny Felt and Fibre

felt and fibre sculpture by Christine O'Neill

Artist Info:

needle and wet felting, spinning with local wool

Christine O'Neill creates 'tiny critters', some hand-stitched from fabric then turned and stuffed, others are needle felted…and some are "a wee bit of both"…

This fabric artist also creates miniature 'cherrie dolls' made with cherry-pit heads, brass bones, wood and wild tussah silk hair. Their tiny bodies are wrapped in warm cotton, and are under three inches in height…"quite purely complicated, yet flexible little beings…"
