Artist's Statement:
"I am a photographer, I suppose, because like all of us I feel a need to find some kind of order in what often seems like a random universe. Looking through a view-finder allows me to organize some small part of the world into an aesthetically pleasing composition. And photography forces me to stop and pay attention to small wonders that I might otherwise miss. There is, for me, great enjoyment in creating an image in which there is harmony, balance, tension. And besides, I cannot draw." - Dennis Forsyth

Artist's Statement:
"All of my artistic endeavours seem to spring from my close environment, and mostly from our garden and our island. Trees, mountains, water, beaches dominate my landscape and most of the flowers I paint can be found in my garden.
The baskets I weave use material gathered locally or grown in the garden. As the birds are foraging for nesting material, I am collecting and drying bark, branches and vines. This year I am including silk scarves dyed using flowers and vegetation from the garden- a new interest I hope to develop further.
Do come and see what we are up to." -Marilyn Jensen
